Start a Journal

This first challenge seems simple enough, but it is actually an interesting challenge to take on. If you haven’t already, start a journal. It doesn’t have to be a complicated – or poetic – journal at all. Write down simple things that happen in your everyday life.

The key here is to be consistent. Don’t miss a day and don’t worry about days where there isn’t that much happening either. No matter how mundane your day may look, find interesting things about that day and write it down.

You can also take notes on your progress and other things about the weight loss program. Write down the exercises you do and the food you consume as part of your daily journal.

Every now and then, take a step back and read past journal entries. You will find so much to learn from what you have written down, including the improvements or changes you can add to your weight loss program.

A Relaxing Hobby

If you’re like me and you feel like you always have to be on the move, then this next bit is a big challenge for sure. Another important trait to have in order to successfully lose weight is patience, and a relaxing hobby may just be what you need to develop that trait.

Fishing always requires a lot of patience. Other hobbies such as reading or chess can help with patience too. The more you get into the hobby, the more you will learn to pace yourself and take your time. This, in turn, will make you feel more comfortable about the process of losing weight.
